Romsey Young Carers

Romsey and District Young Carers Project is a charity supporting young carers in Romsey and Southern Test Valley.

Our young carers are children and young people from 5 up to the age of 25 who have a caring role within their families; this may be doing physical tasks such as housework or shopping or emotional support of other family members. There are a variety of reasons why a family member may need extra support such as physical disabilities or mental health problems. We have also supported families during serious illness and bereavement.

At Romsey and District Young Carers Project our aims are to both support the young people in their caring role and to provide fun activities and enjoyment. We believe in the importance of providing opportunities for young carers to have fun, develop, gain support and be in the company of other young people in the same situation as themselves.
